What the army is doing is deliberately disrupting the business of our area? – Sathyaseelan

My one and a half acre land in Mutthyankatu area is occupied by the army. We have cultivated red onions and green chillies in the land since we were children. With the permission of the army, I visited my land. The camp kitchen is built on my land. When the land was owned by us, my father cultivated the land and earned a good income. The thought that ‘if our land is returned to us we can cultivate it like before’ ran through my mind. During the war, we could eat for a month with three thousand rupees. As of today,we need five thousand rupees in the morning and another five thousand rupees again in the evening.

The army is holding key businesses in Pudukuduirippu. For example, there are two main food shops in Pudukuduirippu. A lot of people come to those two. The owners of the two food shops discuss and open one shop only on one of the two days, Saturday and Sunday. The other shop will be closed on that day. The other shop opens the next day. That’s how people do business. Meanwhile, the army has also opened food shops. The army should be there for the defense of the country, isn’t it? What the army is doing is deliberately disrupting the business of our area.
