I have 6 children. My eldest son is Mahendran Mahanahasan. He was an electrician. He was 27 then. It was in the month of February 2007. My son left on his motorcycle around 1.30 pm to help out at a friend’s wedding.
While he was returning the army caught him and took him in their vehicle. We searched for him everywhere. We are living our life by thinking about him daily. I have all the documents regarding the people that I have met in search of my son. He is out there in the world somewhere alone, and we are living here waiting for his return. We filed a police entry, but they say that our son was not taken by the army. I roamed all these areas waiting for the return of my son. The government told us that they would provide death certificates for those who have disappeared but without seeing the body of my son I would never accept the death certificate. I still hope that my son will return. I cry everyday with his photograph.
