If we were given house ownership, we would have been given an address and a house number. We still don’t have our own address. The letters we are receiving are sent to the estate administrative office. Everything is under our rulers, If they want, they can increase our salary.
After the privatization of the plantation sector, health schemes were put in place through private companies. Private companies do not provide good health service. There are many people who go outside and work. If even the welfare schemes are available only to the affluent, what will others do? And now women are fired if they take medical leave for more than 3 days.
The rulers will not talk about Malaiyaha Tamils because they want to keep us as slaves. We are living a life of slavery in our own country.
